SENIOR WOMENS COMPETITIONS

We have two teams this again this year, one catering for those new to cricket to in the EGWC Social T20 competition in a safe and supportive environment. The other team (WCCC Shield) is for experienced players and will incorporate both T20 and One Day formats.

Training / Game

Training serves as a way to practice and learn skills and knowledge before you play scheduled competition games. Training usually consists of batting, bowling and fielding practice.

Games are played either in the:

EGWC Social Women’s T20 format (training not compulsory but available Thursday 6-7pm)

WCCC Shield Women's League and are a mix of T20 and one-day (40 over) formats

Training:

Tuesday / Thursday from 5 - 7pm, with selection and dinner (optional) on Thursday

Games:

​Sunday starting at 1pm

Uniforms / Equipment

  • Senior Womens - Playing Polo and 

  • Burwood Cricket Pants

Equipment:

WCCC Shield - you will be required to have your own cricketing gear. This includes helmet, bat, gloves, thigh guard and pads. You will also require cricket shoes with spikes.
 

EGWC - you will have equipment supplied by the Club and games are on synthetic pitches so runners are suitable.

Membership Fee

WCCC Shield Membership: $260 

EGWC Social Membership: $160

What's included in your subs

  • Player registration

  • Player insurance

  • Contribution towards the purchase of match balls, equipment, coaches, council charges and ground hire etc.
