Main Committee

Kate began her association with Burwood in 2018 as Team Manager for our junior girls team. Having a passion for inclusive sport she helped create our first ever senior women’s team in 2019 and more recently the Social Sixes and All Abilities Junior Blast programs. Kate’s mission is that all those that want to play cricket, can do so at Burwood. This season Kate is the Burwood Cricket Club President.

John started as a junior cricketer at Burwood during the 1967/68 season, and has been involved with the club at all levels: juniors, seniors and vets. Aside from the immense contribution as past President of the club and moving into the role of Vice President, John is a Life Member.

Thomas joined Burwood CC 3 years ago. Two of his children play cricket at the Club, his son in under 12's and daughter who plays Stage 2 Stars and Senior Womens. His wife also plays in the Burwood Social Sixes Comp. Thomas has been actively involved in all aspects of junior boys and girls at the club. This season Thomas will be the Junior Co-ordinator for all junior teams and is looking forward to the challenge.

Carol came to Burwood for the 19/20 season, as Team Manager of the inaugural women’s team that played in the WCCC East Comp. After an endless amount of work scoring and volunteering for all teams at the club, her outstanding administration led BCC to win the Cricket Victoria WCCC Best Administered Club Award 2021/22.

Dave has been part of the inclusion and diversity sub-committee, helping run the Blast program among many other initiatives. He will be an important member of the committee this upcoming season.

Rich was brought on as part of the communications sub-committee last season. He will be continuing in a more general role on the committee this year, to help implement some more strategies and look to improve the club in various ways.
